Advice

I am interested in a man, whom I have known (but not really known well) for a long time. He seems content and is always smiling. I don't know if he's always like this, or if it's because he's interested in me. I want to ask him why he's always so cheerful. Do you think it would appear I was trying to "initiate" something if I asked such a question?

He sounds like a wonderful, easy-going man. Go ahead and tell him that you admire his cheerfulness, and ask him what makes him that way. I'm sure he wouldn't be offended! - Dr. Muriel
