My boyfriend (soon to be married) is really jealous. One of my best guy friends moved to another state just as we started going out, and I want to go visit him. My boyfriend doesn't want me to. Should I respect that because my friend is a male, or should it matter?
I strongly suspect that you wouldn't like it at all if your boyfriend (soon to be married) wanted to visit a girl in another state! I think the biblical principal that applies here is the Golden Rule (which Jesus gave) that we are to treat others the way we would like to be treated. So if you love your boyfriend (and I suspect that you do!), please be kind and considerate toward him and his feelings in this matter.
