"Bring your full tithe to the Temple treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in this and see if I don't open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams"(Malachi 3:10).
Stewardship was a difficult word for my friend to swallow. You see… Erna was living on bagels and hot dogs at the time. She could barely pay her bills. Her home was a small 8 by 17 foot RV. To make matters worse, her refrigerator and water heater burned out.
So Erna concluded that giving generously and cheerfully was for other people. She simply couldn’t afford to give.
But then her pastor preached about stewardship. Malachi 3:10 says if we give fully, God will pour out his blessings beyond what we can imagine.
God moved in Erna’s heart and she began to give faithfully. Soon she received a large box of food. And within a few months, God also provided her a husband.
Friend, follow God’s command to give generously and cheerfully. You can never out give God!
