Print Scripture Prayers for Children
Pray for:
Their relationship with the Lord
- That they will turn from self and sin
"I pray that child's name would "flee from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart." (2 Timothy 2:2)
- That they will turn toward the Lord
1. To trust and follow Him
Father, I ask that child's name would " trust in the Lord with all [his] heart and lean not on [his] own understanding." I pray that "in all child's name's ways, he would acknowledge you, and that you will make his paths straight. " (Proverbs 3:5,6)
2. To know and serve Him
Their relationship in the family
1. That there would be family unity
2. That they would be able to receive instruction and obey
Their schooling
1. That they would be teachable
2. That the principles of God's Word would be their criteria for discerning truth
Their relationships with friends
1. That they would not associate with evil-doers
2. That the Lord would provide "positive" friends
