Walking and Praying
by Vonette BrightLaurie wanted to represent Christ in her neighborhood, so she prayed. She made a list of everyone on her block. She started walking around the block every day. As she walked, she prayed. She prayed for the people living in every home. Their marriages, children, health, and well-being. Mostly she prayed they'd come to know Christ personally.
Before long, Laurie's prayers turned to action. When she saw her neighbors as she walked, she was eager to meet and talk with them. She was curious about how her prayers were being answered. In time, she invited her neighbors to her home. Eventually, she had an opportunity to share Christ with each one and many responded. All because she prayed. Wouldn't that be great for your neighborhood? Start praying for your neighbors one by one. Start today.
